Employers? How do you spot a good resume?
Many employers do not know how to spot a good resume. Usually, employers can easily spot a bad resume, but how many mediocre resumes make it pass the reject pile. Here are some tips for recognizing quality talent.
- Resume presentation is perfect- the resume should be neat with no spelling errors, and with proper grammer and punctuation. Such a resume highlights that the employee will take interest in his or her work.
- Do the job titles sound too perfect?- a worker with little qualification or insufficient experience who has held positions in senior management might need further background checks. Some person will "doctor" their job titles to reflect experience in the position that they are applying for.
- Are the responsibilities too many for the job role?- dome workers will try to convince you that they held numerous responsibilities under a job role. Often times thsi is a technique that glosses over the fact that the worker might have had little or no real experience in the field but would like you to believe such.
